Sponsorship program:
Through sponsorship we have been able to support 20 girls to complete secondary school from 2008 to 2017; they were all able to reach college level, and graduated as doctors, accountants, teachers and social workers. From 2020 to 2024, sponsorship funds enabled 75 youth to study and graduated with various vocational skills, which enabled 40 percent to engage in self employment and remaining 60 were employed; 36 were boys and 39 girls. Two young girls from poor families received sponsorship in 2018 and currently in primary school.
YAS NGO is soliciting for more sponsorship funds from interested local and international individuals and organizations who are passionate in helping youth from underprivileged families:
• Education for girls aged 5 years and above:
Donating $ 1,200 per annum will enable one girl to attend primary or secondary school per year.
• Youth aged 15 and above:
Donating $ 100 per month or $ 1,200 per annum will enable one youth to learn how to fish (skills that will improve their livelihood) instead of giving them fish (handouts).
